Welcome to Marauder Moments - a chronicle of the Mortimer Street Marauders; the games we play, the rules we use, the figures we play with and the scenery they fight over. Hope you enjoy these pages and maybe call back to catch up with our escapades.

Wankow Klein Wiess - Polish German border 1813

Hi all,
I've been absent from you good people for too long.

So what have we been up to? We are amassing a new Napoleonic collection, much of it is with the painters, the first batch is back and looks superb. Once we have enough based and flagged up we'll christian the armies on the all new table top too, hopefully by the end of the year. Until then we are not going play much Napoleonics at all. We are presently enjoying a second childhood by playing lots of the new 8th Edition 40k - I know - buts it's great fun & pure nostalgia. You'll be spared any posts.
In short we'll back bigger and better than ever, we just need to find a few more thousand pounds.

This is an unpublished & uncaptioned report from many years ago. Veterans will recognise the table set up from a few other games which were reported.

Hopefully this scratches an itch for a while.

Best wishes,

Jeremy

    1. We have a dark side...
Once we have something to show we'll get it up here first for you loyal Marauder aficionados.
      Best wishes Carlo,

    1. Me too, we're hoping to have the bulk of it back by the year end, maybe even based if can pull out collective fingers out, we need some alternative scenery too which is partly in hand.
      Then we can play!

But welcome back - I have missed my regular BIG Naps does of loveliness. 40k - well, if you must... But can't wait to see how the new Naps pans out.

    1. Its a nostalgia thing, like sleeping with an old girl friend, comfortable yet disposable...

  6. Great to see some "new" stuff up - inspiring as always.
If you don't mind me asking who do you use for painting - you must have quite a squad working on the volume you guys require. I'm enjoying painting my French but its going to be a multi year project (hurricanes included) so maybe be good to use a painter for some opposition
    all the best

    1. The bulk of painting is done by a friend of mine in the Philippines, his wife's family do most of it I think, good team who always need more work. Do you want the details?

  7. Nice to see you back! :-) I've got my Napoleonic mojo back with over the hills just had a big game today (not by your standards!? 2 divions per side) and I'm off to the 40k GT in July so no shame in a bit of 40k! :-) looking forward to seeing the new stuff! :-)

    1. Somehow I missed your response Robert, it seems that 40k is a guilty secret for quite a few players...
Over the Hills seems to be gathering a following which is good to see. We'll stick with the usual GdB and GdA for now.
Hopefully I'll sort something out for you all soon.
      Best wishes

  8. You came back Jeremy; and I missed it!
Great to see a post from you, even if 'only' a redux. Some lovely eye candy there.
We look forward to what a few more months and thousands of pounds will produce.
I don't reckon that you should shy away from posting a few images of the 40K games. It's all good and will just make the big Napoleonics even more betterer!

    1. Hi James, glad to hear from you. The painters are busy and there's possibly one more big batch to do then a few days solid basing...
Hope the results are worth the time and investment.
I'll try to post something over the Summer, maybe an army photo shoot like the Austrian Vogue post we did a while ago?
      Any thoughts?
      Best wishes,
      Jeremy
