Welcome to Marauder Moments - a chronicle of the Mortimer Street Marauders; the games we play, the rules we use, the figures we play with and the scenery they fight over. Hope you enjoy these pages and maybe call back to catch up with our escapades.

May you live in interesting times - No thanks!!!

Hi everyone,

I say that rather sheepishly as I haven't posted here for far too long.

My business is presently "on hold" for most intents & purposes so I have some time to fill and may continue to have for the foreseeable future. The present health crisis precludes gaming but not planning, painting and posting about it so here I go again.

Firstly a bit of Napoleonic sauce - apparently Wellington had big feet.
So much for social distancing!
This year has seen us playing every week, mostly Adeptus Titanicus & 40k but nothing Napoleonic yet. Why? Well we have been steadfastly NOT getting around to basing a new batch of toys and are waiting for another to arrive. These two orders will move the collection forward again in leaps & bounds visually and in size of game. I guess we may have simply not had the appetite for a big game but that is already changing - another big game is planned but not for a while as we can't meet up anyway and we still have to base all this stuff.

Here's my plan... I'll write a few WIP posts about the game planning process, any basing I do and pictures of toys as they turn up or get finished. I have a half written post on painting resin villages which I can post when finished. Possibly a few reviews of scenario books for which I'll create an extra page maybe, not sure yet. I'll try to keep it Napoleonic though, we don't want to contaminate these hallowed pages do we?

Please accept sincere apologies for my "Not tonight Josephine" phase, consider me back for a bit anyway.

I hope you are all well and staying safe in which ever corner of the world you live. If you are a key worker you have my utter respect & support.

Best wishes to you all,

Jeremy

  1. Glad you're back! I'm in a similar position with work so I've sorted out my napoleonic collection and painted a bridge so far!

  2. Good idea to have a big game to work toward when all this is over Jeremy.
