Villages & farms & castles & chateaux, a round up.

No games for a few weeks as we have been basing like crazy! Nearly 50 battalions, 20 odd cavalry regiments, numerous batteries and acres of skirmishers underway but not ready to show off yet.
Does anyone know of a good manufacturer of 10mm flags.

Alongside this I have been painting villages etc to populate our battlefields. I am pleased to report that I might have cracked the technique - at least I like them! These are all Total Battle Miniatures 6mm range.

A village with church.

I need to glue the spire on it seems...

Cute!

Another village. You all think this is a massive granary. It could be, it could also be an asylum or prison, tax collection store or an arsenal. I see scenarios involving all these option.

Same again.

Uber cute.

This is a beauty cast in three parts so we might have options to reconfigure on occasion.

This has so many uses for us - super cute!

This model is supposed to be some dreary grey 100 Days Campaign borefest - not with this paint job!
Fairy tale castle here we come!
Another 100 Days model given the fairy tale treatment.

This has a smaller footprint than the villages but not significantly.

You've seen these before but not with the flock added - they're finished now!

Nice rock face...

Cute pig sty.

That white smudge around the window is pure "art" even though I say so myself!

We're getting there, slowly but we're moving forward.
Our first game looked the part in that it looked like a Napoleonic battle and we really had space to move about in. Deployment was key.
I have new ideas for roads to explore, the hills above I like but still not 100% sure. We've cracked the buildings I think. There's so much to decide on still! The 28mm collection had matured to a point we could simply photograph, edit, annotate and publish, it was comfortable  - this collection is still on that journey...

Let me know what you think, best wishes as ever,

More painting - An addition to our new range of buildings & BUA's

Wonders will never cease - I have painted something else...

This one is another model from Total Battle Miniatures 6mm range. Its a chateau from their 100 Days range which I shall plunder & paint with a more southern European vibe.

I'm happy that I have nailed an efficient technique so my next project is two of their village tiles. These have a flexible rubbery base into which 4 or 5 buildings are slotted - a very flexible & clever system. Once I 'm happy with those I have an impressive hill top town to do on a beautifully rendered resin base. That's quite a big project so I need to build up to it! Beyond that I'll have to revisit their website and get spending again.

Our game is going well but not pretty enough yet to warrant a battle report... When we finish it it's time to get mucky and do some basing & flagging! So a 10mm report is still some time off I'm afraid, these WIP updates will have to suffice unless we pull out the 28's for a bash?

Best wishes as ever,

Jeremy
